Two Charged Regarding Heathrow ‘Pepper Spray’ Incident
Two individuals are now facing charges related to a suitcase robbery where a suspected capsaicin spray resulted in harm at London's Heathrow Airport.
Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, now face two counts of robbery and two counts of using a harmful chemical, as confirmed by court officials.
This legal action stems from an investigation into an assault at the parking structure at Heathrow's Terminal Three on the weekend. Before the assault occurred, two women were robbed of their luggage taken after exiting a parking garage elevator, according to law enforcement.
A toddler was among those injured in the event. Several persons went to hospital for treatment and were eventually allowed to go home.
The incident – which authorities stated was a standalone event and deemed non-terroristic – led to train delays and the partial closure of the main airport road tunnel and the T3 parking area for a brief period.
