JuJutsu Kaisen: Execution is not precisely an original movie. Rather, the recent cinematic release from the Jujutsu Kaisen action franchise serves as a collection of the anime's second season combined with the first two episodes of its third season, which begins the Culling Games narrative from the original manga. This makes Execution, which just got a latest teaser, the earliest way to watch the beginning of the upcoming season ahead of its January 2026 premiere. The film debuts in cinemas in Japan starting November 7, and in the United States and Canada on December 5.

The Culling Games Plot

In the Culling Game arc, Elite sorcerer Yuta Okkotsu is introduced in the anime series and is charged by sorcery authorities to eliminate his classmate Yuji Itadori. Their much-anticipated fight unfolds for the first time on the silver screen, and if the animation team at the studio have a treat as episodes 40 and 41 waiting in the wings for fans this festive season, JuJutsu Kaisen: Execution may prove to be the gift that we've been waiting for.

The "Thunderclap" Controversy

"Thunderclap" from the second season is often hailed as one of the greatest sequences in animated series lore, notwithstanding the significant debate in the previous year when the series first premiered. It was stated that the creators were enduring crunch conditions to the point, and the released version that aired at the time was incomplete and reportedly not what the artists initially intended.

The Epic Battle
