News has broken that original actors Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson are set to appear once again in the next chapter of the Hunger Games film series, titled The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping. The project is now in the works.
A Major Comeback for the Franchise
The duo will once again portray Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark, the characters they made famous. It is believed their roles will likely occur in a flash-forward sequence, considering the main film series concluded with their characters married and with children.

Sunrise on the Reaping is adapted from a newly published work by author Suzanne Collins. It acts as the follow-up prequel after 2023's The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes. Once again is Francis Lawrence, who has helmed the majority of the previous films in the series.
