Series of Assaults
Since the beginning of the full-scale conflict in Ukraine, a series of Russian military commanders have been subjected to assaults within Moscow.
This latest event comes after other high-profile incidents, including:
- General Yaroslav Moskalik was lost his life in a automobile blast in Moscow earlier this year.
- General Igor Kirillov was killed in late 2024 when a explosive concealed on a scooter was triggered from afar.
While a Ukrainian source previously attributed Kirillov's death to Ukraine's security service, such claims are never publicly admitted as a matter of policy.
The conflict has witnessed shadowy operations extending into the heart of the Russian capital.
The investigation into General Sarvarov's death continues to be ongoing.
